That's a Wrap! The Best of Show from San Mateo

The Northern California Motorcycle Show in San Mateo has been host to plenty of excitement over new models, participation in many events featured throughout the show, and a great turn out. The sun came out early Saturday and Sunday was even nice. Check out some of the highlights from the show!

Red Bull athlete Aaron Colton gets ready for a stunt show in the wet on Friday night. Puddles and deep water didn't stop him and XDL rider Aaron Twite from putting on a great show.

Celebrity builder Zach Ness was nice enough to stop by and sign some autographs for fans young and old. TV station KTVU stopped by and did a news segment on the show as well. You can get an up close, all-access look at what happened at the show by checking out the video.

The Ducati 1199 Panigale Tricolore was a big hit at the Ducati booth and generated plenty of buzz.

There were some nice ladies at the Ducati booth who were very helpful.

One of the busiest areas on the show floor this past weekend was at Honda, which featured several new 2013 models which were released to the public less than a week ago. The Gold Wing F6B was a huge hit, as well as other bikes like the CBR600RR and CB1100.

The Pit Stop Challenge was busy over the weekend and many contestants went head to head to win the grand prize - an all expenses paid trip to the 2013 Daytona 200. We had a surprise participant when Mr. Daytona himself showed up to compete. Scott Russell turned in a fairly fast time, but it's safe to say he's faster on that track than in the pits.

Celebrity and pinstripe extraordinaire SKRATCH from TV's "Overhaulin" series showed up at the Bell Helmets booth for an up close and personal demonstration of how he lays down his lines. He'll be at a couple other shows, so be sure to check the celebrity list to see if he'll be at a show  near you!

Things started off a little wet when XDL Street Jam took the stage, but XDL rider Aaron Twite and 4-time XDL champion Bill Dixon put on a great show.

Once things dried out, XDL Champ Bill Dixon took things to the next level and put on an amazing display of riding. Don't try this at home!

Red Bull athlete Aaron Colton joined the festivities on Saturday and joined the Street Jam crew. Hearts skipped a beat when Aaron Colton rolled a stoppie by announcer Chris Theis and knocked a waiting water bottle out of his hand.

XDL rider Aaron Twite showed everyone his smooth and skilled style as well. XDL Street Jam did a live stream of their evening show on their UStream channel. Aaron Twite will be riding in most cities and keeping a blog about his adventures at each stop on the show. Check the XDL Street Jam page for more updates!

The weather turned nice halfway through the show and there were a lot of excited riders lining up to try out the newest Can-Ams, Harley-Davidsons, and Yamahas.

There were some nice ladies at the Harley Davidson booth and we managed to catch up to Red Bull athlete Aaron Colton as well.

The J&P Cycles Ultimate Builder Competition featured some very interesting and exciting machines. The entries in San Mateo were very much different than anything we had seen in Dallas or Atlanta. Stay tuned for a full update on the show winners.

A very special thanks to all of those who came out to the Northern California Motorcycle Show this weekend and an even more special thanks to those who braved the elements to make this a great show for everyone!
