Plush Racing started in 2003 when a group of women riders in the Sacramento, Calif. area got together to see a screening of the MotoGP documentary, FASTER. These original four: Melody, Aimee, Anna and Stacey, wanted to create a way to advance female involvement and success in the motorcycle racing community. They set out to make Plush Racing a place where women riders can receive advice, support and mentorship from other women who are experienced in motorcycle racing and the community.

These four have expanded to 19 members in Northern California who race street bikes, drag bikes, dirt bikes and supermoto bikes. You can find them racing their drag bikes down the strip at Sacramento Raceway, road racing at Infineon, Buttonwillow and Thunderhill Raceway with the AFM road racing club, doing cross country races with AMA District 36, on the motocross track in Hangtown, and just having fun at track days in central and northern California.

To support Plush Racing the women created Plush Motorsports Marketing to create partnerships that help them compete. With sponsors such as K&N Engineering, Cycle Gear and Motul to name just a few, these women are able to compete at a high level on the race track. Beginning in 2006, Plush Motorsports Marketing began assisting the Cycle World International Motorcycle Shows by helping promote the Northern California show held in San Mateo.

Through their love of motorcycles and competition Plush Racing has become a legitimate foundation for helping women enjoy a sport that they may not have had the opportunity otherwise.
