The Women's Center

The Women's Center is the perfect place where women (new to long time riders) can try on and learn about proper fitting gear tailored for their shapes, sizes and styles; chat with like-minded riders: learn more about motorcycling; finding the right bike that fits you and more!.

SHOP AND FIT GEAR FROM THE TOP BRANDS- Thanks to our sponsors, there will be plenty of apparel to try on in a full range of sizes including jackets, pants and gloves, from some of the finest brands in the industry, including Cortech, Icon, Joe Rocket, Shift, Thor and Tour Master.

CHAT WITH THE EXPERTS- With expert female motorcyclists from the Women's Motorcycist Foundation (WMF), like Sue Slate (also a speaker at the Hub brought to you by Allstate) and Gin Shear on hand at the Women's Center, new women riders can get all their questions answered about motorcycling. Veteran woman riders will also benefit from kicking back with the women of the WMF by sharing their favorite tales about their adventures on the road!

GEAR UP WITH A GEAR GUIDE- Women can take notes about the different apparel they try on (what they liked, didn't like, etc.) with a handy gear guide which will include product photos, descriptions, size ranges, and colors of all the apparel in the women's center.  So when you are ready to make a purchase, you'll have your top picks handy!

So, whether you are looking for the right type of motorcycle or scooter, the best accessories and apparel, or have a few questions about how to get started, don't forget to stop by the Women's Center at a show near you!

And it gets better with Ladies Night Out on Friday at all shows.  Download the coupon here and redeem at the box office for 1/2 off admission for all women.

SPOTLIGHT: Talk with Women's Center Expert Joanne Donn

Visit the Women's Center and see Joanne at a Cycle World International Motorcycle Show near you! Enjoy conversation, fitment tips, shopping advice and insight on all things related to what you should be wearing while riding your motorcycle or scooter.  You can also find helpful resources such as her blog, gear forums, newsletters, podcasts and more at www.gearchic.com.  Joanne has a passion for motorcycling and enjoys speaking with everyone and anyone about riding, especially those who are new to riding and might need help starting out. So be sure to stop by the Women's Center and say hello!

Joanne Donn is the founder of GearChic.com, a website solely dedicated to providing information about protective motorcycle gear for women.  In 2007, she identified an information gap when it came to showing people how and where to shop for gear and developed a website that focuses exclusively on these issues. Although her reviews and product recommendations are mostly for female riders, she writes about universal fitment and shopping issues that men can benefit from as well.

Joanne started riding back in 2003 on a 50cc Aprilia Scarabeo, and although she's only 5'3", with a 29" inseam, she eventually moved on to a Kawasaki Ninja 250, a Kawasaki Z750s and presently a 2003 Suzuki SV650S.  When she isn't working on her website or at the show, you can find her working part time at Scuderia West in San Francisco, a KTM/ Aprilia/Victory/Kymco dealer in the apparel department, and as a MSF Certified RiderCoach.
